Here are the steps:

1. Join a website that has convenient lists of all the sweepstakes and contests going on. Choose a good many that you like. The more you enter, the more chances you have to win. I personally love OSL!

2. Very important: Read the rules of the sweepstakes! The rules have important details like how often you can enter, if you are allow to use a P.O. Box, when the sweepstakes ends and how long you have to complete the required documents if you are a winner! More info on making the rules easier to understand can be found here. After a while of doing this, you will find that you can go through the long rule documents really fast because you become more familiar with them.

3.Create an Excel or Google Docs spreadsheet to list the ones you are interested in. In the first column, put the direct link. The other columns should contain information like when ending date, entry limits, the time frame you have to complete documents if you win and other important details that may be unique to your situation. In my case, I have a column that lets me know whether or not I can give my P.O. Box address. Some sites have build-in organizers, but I prefer to make my own custom one. 4. Be consistent! This is the hardest part. You know that Win $1,000 contest you entered? You know, the one you read the rules for and found out that they allow daily entries? Well, make sure to enter daily! That will maximize your chances. A ton of people will just enter once and forget. You can get a leg up on them!
